Day 233 - Dividers, fabric, evenweave quilt

Monday, Labor Day today so it was a bonus day of crafting!  Went to IKEA to look at fabric with Micaela and Michael today.  She bought the blue fabric that is hanging on the shelf for her livingroom curtains.  She also purchased a tent at REI that was assembled in the livingroom.

Worked on the evenweave fringe quilt for church as I found out it was supposed to be completed for the November Church Craft Sale!   I thought it was for the spring missions quilts!  Anyway, I didn't

have enough blocks to make a lap quilt so cut 50 more squares and them sewed them back to back with some natural batting inside. Now I have 140 of them to sew together.

I also completed the dividers for the basement studio.

When they were complete I did a bit of rearranging to get them to look their best.

We also went to breakfast at IKEA and cleaned out the garage!

Plus, Michael worked some more on upgrades in the T@B

and we got a decent rain this evening.

Day 231 - Divider Screens and Cutting Blocks

Cut some more random fabric I found in my closet and

 my camera wasn't working quite right
 so this photo didn't turn out very well

(except for Pete being in it!).

Worked some more on my divider screens and

 ran out of the green stripe.

I will have to piece the 6th section piece- maybe tomorrow.

Looked deep in my fabric closet and found this home dec print

that I got for free and long time ago.  It really doesn't go but  it will have to work

as i didn't want to spent any money on this project.  Will have to

piece the 3rd section. (Micaela says that the fabric is straight out of the 70's.)

Day 230 - Divider Screens

I was able to get the fabric on one of my 3 divider screens

 that my Dad made for me.

Here is the screen without fabric on it.

And the screen from the backside with the fabric on it.

The first screen in place making the studio more private.

One more view (and you can see we still have lots of clean up to

do from putting in the ceiling..)

I thought the fabric would show up more- it is a small stripe of forest green and off white

actually a decorator fabric.  Now I am wondering if I could drape a lightweight quilt over the top 

for a spark of color?  I don't know.  I will get the other 2 done and see if I have enough

fabric to do them and then go from there.  Should the wood frame be painted??? 

I will ponder that too.  One down 2 to go.
