A couple days have passed...

The last 3 nights I have done some cutting of all of that denim that was in my fabric closet.  This is what I cut the last 2 nights.
I have 5" squares, 4" squares and a few 2" strips.
This is the stack of all that is cut.  To the right is the denim that I have left to cut.
The pile has really dimished!
The orange "stick" is a 12" ruler so you can see how tall the stacks are.

And a photo of the newly installed fence posts on the 2nd half of the backyard fence repair.
There are 8 new posts installed as of the weekend.

Sunday evening...

I have to give a big thanks to my Aunt June who shared her quilting corner, her current quilt blocks, finished quilt and an album of all of the quilts she has made with me.  Saw her at a family reunion in Rochester on Saturday.  I am inspired!  What a mess I have in my sewing room!  No photo tonight but I cut up a bunch more of the jeans into squares plus did some repair on a pair of jeans.

Also a big thanks to my" listening ear" dear friend.  I unloaded 2 1/2 months worth of "stuff" and it was exhilarating.  What a load she listened to...plus we got to eat out!  She is a lifesaver and I am invigorated.

And then there is my mom.  What can I say?  Listened, gave me encouragment and did what moms do best...Love you.

Let's get busy

Not Crafting But at Least I Am Doing Something!

Really pushing myself to get out of this "funk" that I am in.  Headed to the basement studio and Pete joined me.  That is a good start in and of itself!
Folded a basket of clean laundry-

ironed about 10 shirts.

It is a start.

My New Treasures

I told you I would share a photo of what I found on our anniversary weekend.  The fabric was from the quilt shop and I will use it to make miniature quilts as the pattern is just about 1" squares.  The 2 old clear bottles will be used for another craft idea.  Beads!!  I loved the colors and shapes in the long strand of African trade beads and will use for bracelts.  The german vintage green beads are the color of peas! The lavendar german vintage beads will make a lovely bracelet.  Don't miss the miniature colander for the dollhouse.  Also, the little piece of dearskin tucked underneath is a Christmas gift so I can't show you more.  It was a fun shopping experience.

34th Anniversary Camping

Spent the weekend at Wild River State Park.  Set up camp by 8:30 friday night.

Lovely night, full moon.  Saturday spent going through Interstate State Park on the Wisconsin side and remembering lots of good times both growing up in that park and Michael growing up at St Croix Falls and
good times camping with the kids.
Also explored the town of Taylors Falls (bead shop and a store called the Mad Hatter). Then to St Croix Falls and a quilt shop and Treasure Alley. Tomorrow I will show you what I bought.  The weekend flew by and I was able to share it with my best friend and lover of 34 years...

This morning while we relished in the quiet of the campground I worked on a bible study of Ester and also started another little basket.  This one is made of colored wire!  It is pretty tiring to work with so we will see how far I am able to get.

A Long Time...

Honestly, not been very creative...have done some work though-
This weekend we disassembled the last half of the backyard privacy fence.  Thanks Mom and Dad for all of your help!  I think it is a total of 6 sections.  The neighbor made a couple of comments:  Lets put a gate in and boy without the fence we sure are close!
I painted all of my purple outdoor tables and then the bench and birhouse.

Will keep trying to find that groove of creativity....
