Yesterday-

Besides having lunch with a friend and doing a little shopping I got some 5" blocks cut for another quilt.  This are all solid colors from fabric samples.  Might look kind of like a rainbow quilt.  We will see someday.

Day 363 - Block cutting

Did  3 hours of cutting church fabric into various size squares and strips.

Day 360 - Let the Cutting begin!

Busy day with a family gathering for lunch...out of my bedroom window I can see our little trailer and the snow has begun to melt off the top!  It got into the 40's today! Those are rabbit tracks to the trailer!

Those bags of fabric I brought home yesterday from church are calling

so I did some cutting today.

Even sitting next to the iron Pete still had a cold nose.

Day 347 - More cutting fabric!

Remember that huge bag of fabric I brought home from church a couple of weeks ago?  I spent some more time cutting it up today.  Here is my basket of strips ready to be made into a strip quilt.

Here is what is remaining in the big bag from church.

Did some work on sorting through some more of the packed up boxes from the remodeling and decided it was time to hang some things up in the sewingroom. 

I almost forgot- I visitied a friend and I restrung 2 beaded

bracelets for her...

Day 346 - Cutting Fabric

Did some cutting on that huge bag of fabric from church.  Finally am seeing the bottom of the bag.  Still a bit left to cut up.  Here is what I did in about 3 hours.

Day 335 - Cutting and sewing

Cut out body parts for 2 small identical dolls.  They are from a pattern by elinor peace bailey.  Micaela and I are each going to be making one.  We are goaling for the body to be sewn and assembled by the end of February.

Also did some sewing on the church quilt.

Made some progress on the red puzzle too....

Day 328 - Mounds of Fabric

Yesterday I came home with a huge "bag" of scrap fabric from the cupboards of the church quilters.  I have begun to go through it and cut it into strips or squares-whatever I have enough fabric for...

This is a bunch of strips cut into various lengths.

The colors are lavendar, greens, blues and yellows.

I think this will have to be a strip quilt of its own. 

It is sure a mishmash of all kinds of bits and pieces....

Day 272 - Misc.

I cut some blocks and strips for future quilts.

Also worked on the fringe quilt fixing spots that came apart in the wash....

and I had company.

Day 231 - Divider Screens and Cutting Blocks

Cut some more random fabric I found in my closet and

 my camera wasn't working quite right
 so this photo didn't turn out very well

(except for Pete being in it!).

Worked some more on my divider screens and

 ran out of the green stripe.

I will have to piece the 6th section piece- maybe tomorrow.

Looked deep in my fabric closet and found this home dec print

that I got for free and long time ago.  It really doesn't go but  it will have to work

as i didn't want to spent any money on this project.  Will have to

piece the 3rd section. (Micaela says that the fabric is straight out of the 70's.)

Day 229 - Cutting

Spent my morning before work doing some organizing in the basement (will it ever end???) and got back on the treadmill.  Tonight I tackled another pile of fabric from church.  I ironed and cut for an hour and a half and didn't leave a dent in the pile.  Well, anyway my 2 boxes and one brown grocery bag of church fabrics are now down to 2 boxes.  I guess that is progress...

While I was cutting I watched City of Angels I still turn it off

10 minutes before it ends as I want to remember a happy ending....

*sigh*

Day 228 - Odds and Ends

I bought a bag of tiny flowers a week or two ago at the thrift store for 1.80 and tonight I figured out where and how I would store them as the bag is not a good way to acess or store.
 Here they are:

Cut a few strips and 5" squares...I am tiring of this fabric...

And lastly, I redid the ribbon on the purse I made monday night

and covered the stitching that was the model number of

the Bernina that I sewed on with 3 of my many yo-yo's

 (and was able to find the perfect color combinations).

Day 215 - Cuting and sewing

I sewed up the evenweave squares with the cotton batt in the center and have a nice second stack of them.

Then revisited the box of fabric...

Ended up with a pile of 5" blocks, 4" blocks and random strips.

Day 204 - Cutting fabric

I am still working on that bag of fabric from my mom's church.  It seems neverending!  I think because the fabrics are quite boring to me.  Here was the starting and ending piles.

I cut more 5 inch squares and some strips.

I also wanted to show you how the jar for the yo-yo's

 is about half full!

Day 190 - Quilt Block Cutting

Cut some more of those blocks out tonight and had some company in the mess....

Day 188 - Cutting again

So on this unsettling day with tornado sirens going off two different times I did some more block cutting from the fabric that I had started yesterday.  These are 5" blocks.

Day 155 - Cutting mini blocks

So last night when I went to enter my daily blog- blogger was working!  I got up early this morning to

 enter it and it STILL wasn't working!  So end of the work day and

 just before serving up some dinner it is back online.

Beautiful Sunday and I hung my daughters two quilts on the line to air (along with her sleeping bag and tent).

I had to bring them in twice due to showers but they did get a good airing.  (The quilt on the left is one that she made in high school - all cat fabrics.  The one on the right is the one I made her to take to college titled
"Losing My Marbles".)

This evening I worked on those tiny 4 square quilt pieces from awhile ago.  The little green and beige one on the upper left hand side is the size they have to be cut to - a 2" square.

And another basement ceiling update- another section has been installed!!!

Day 154 - Collage Card & Quilt cutting

Collaged a graduation card this morning.

I finished cutting all of the pieces for the Psycho design quilt!!

Day 153 - Jelly Roll Quilt

Did a bit more of the cutting of my first pieces of the jelly roll quilt - psycho.
