Where did my motivation & drive go???

Have been so unmotivated this week.  I am working an extra day (so 4 days this week) and that is good-right?  Did some cleaning in the yard tonight and a funeral last night.  I did get a spiral put into the Dream Big book that I am making.  It is very inexpensive to do.  Under 5.00 and they did it while I waited.  Now I have to finish the journaling in this book.
Pete was mellow tonight while I puttered...

The morning after Easter

What a wonderful Easter Sunday!  About 60 degrees and sunny.   Wanted to share the pie I made for Easter lunch.  It was cherry blackberry and grandma's recipe for piecrust.

Of course a few dyed eggs for a centerpiece.

Thursday

Yesterday started with another 6:30 church service and another snow!

There was a little time after church before work so I stopped at a Caribou Coffee and read.

By the time I got to work...

Had a great Maundy Thursday.  I met with my craft group at Archivers after I stopped at Carlson Towers to visit Micaela at a craft sale she was doing there.

I worked some more on my "Dream Big" book and spent some time with my good friends.  My friend Lois had done some cutting of church fabric and gave me her finished pile of fabric!

Tuesday.

Having a little motivation blip. *sigh*  Attended a quick church service this morning. Worked in the yard for about and hour and a half.   Micaela came over for a few hours and we priced some of her "felties" for her sale tomorrow and Thursday.  I had gotten a couple of coats of white paint on the shutter display she was using and she took that with.  Did some cutting of church fabric.  Need to get out of this funk... Pete isn't motivated either- maybe its the weather....it's supposed to snow tonight.
My pile of 3" strips.

My basket of 2" and 2 1/2" strips.

Finally, the basket of miscellaneous size strips.

I think it is time to get sewing.

Palm Sunday

Spent a good portion of today at church.  Went to 8:30 church but ducked out after communion to help with the selling of all of the baked goods and a few spring crafts.  Got home about 1:30.  Visited our 91 year old neighbor and we talked for over 2 hours.  I did get a first coat of white paint on a display that Micaela is going to use at her sale this week.

A Spring Saturday?

This is what I woke up to this morning!
Most of the day was spent at church working towards the
 Palm Sunday Bake Sale.
These were some of the views of the day...

Decorating Easter sugar cookies.

Baking Swedish Kringle.

Got some more of the wallpaper off in the familyroom
(still working on the first wall!)

Made a string of 20 felt pennants for Micaela's upcoming craft show next week.

Spring Tuesday.

Beautiful spring day.  Mended the cover of the T@B, cleaned gardens for a couple hours, signed up for a lawn fertilizing program, visited with one of our pastors, removed more wallpaper and wrestled with the sheets from the trailer to add another one for a duvet cover.  Quiet but busy day.

Monday.

Worked and then spent about 45 minutes at Archivers working on my "Dream Big" book.  Went to church quilting where I turned in my 5 quilt tops that I have made.  Here are some of the gals who were working tonight.
Some of the mission quilts sewn and ready to be tied.

The weekend

Saturday morning I spent going to CJ Banks warehouse sale and bought 4 shirts for 20.00 and a belt for Micaela for 2.00.  Then on to quilting group at church.  We are beginning to put together the quilts for missions so they are ready for the quilting bee in May.  These are the quilts that were sewn together this morning. (Sorry the photo is blurry.)
I was sent home another huge bag of small fabric scraps again....
did do some cutting on them this weekend also.
Uncovered the T@B trailer and will have to do some repairs on the cover.  Here it is sitting in the diningroom on the floor until I get to it.

Here is our little trailer uncovered from winter looking at the backyard from our window.

Tomorrow evening we have quilting again at church and these 5 tops will go to be completed and given to missions.

Lastly, I am going to sew a skirt for Micaela.   Here is the pattern.

This is the first piece pinned and ready to cut.  Can't remember the last time I sewed a piece of clothing.  I have never made anything with a border print.  This pattern is not made for a border print so I am on my own for altering it... Should be interesting.

Baking a cake

A different kind of "crafting".  Made a birthday cake for Michael.  Here is the photo that I used to try and make a T@B trailer cake.
Here is the cake.

Happy birthday Michael!

A Spring Thursday

Did a bit more church cutting (I have to STOP) and get on to things with a deadline!
So warm today that my egg tree is in full bloom!

Micaela and I went to the Bachman's Spring Idea House today.

Just a peek at a couple of the wonderful ideas they had in the house.
In the diningroom there was this grouping of old plates.  Some of them had small round mirrors in the centers and some were hung farther out from the wall.

There was a small window with these sugar bowls used as planters and they were hung with old necklaces for the "chains".

In the scrapbooking room this was the ceiling light fixture.

How about pulleys used as plant hangers.

An old globe made into hanging light fixtures.

So many great ideas and a wonderful time for mom and daughter.

A bit of cutting

Lack of energy and motivation and time tonight.  Haven't done cutting since yesterday so thought it would be a good filler for tonight as I didn't have much time to work.  Cut some of the random church fabric.

Unemployed Tuesday

A good friend joined me today for some cutting of church fabric.  She was surprised how long it took to get a couple of good piles.  I think it is because each piece is a different size and shape and you have to figure out what is the best way to use that one piece of fabric.  We spent about 4 hours cutting and this is what we were able to cut up.   She also took home a bag of fabric to work on!   Wow!
This morning I was able to cut and sew the border onto the strip quilt that I made for church so it is complete and ready to go for batting and backing.  I like it.

I didn't show you the photo of the 2 coats of white paint on the shop wall from the weekend so here is the "after" photo.  It really looks good!

Monday again

This weekend was a lot of working on the workshop organizing.   Got to a guitar concert too on Saturday night.  Tonight I finished the tearing apart and remaking of the zig zag church quilt.  What a pain.  It is done and ready to go.  That is the good part.  Here is a snap of it.
This one is going to be a bit hard to part with.  I like the colors and design.

Blessed Friday...

Did some major moving in the workshop with Michael.  Fought with the vacumn getting plugged up.   Here is the small section of wall that was painted with a first coat tonight.
Did some sewing on the 3rd giant quilt block for the 2nd camping quilt.
