Day 197 - What to do now?

Well, here is that box of "squares" that my mom gave me from her church.  Quite the interesting assortment.

This is all of the larger squares.

There are a few smaller squares- wonder what all of these will make...

Quite an interesting puzzle.

Day 195 - Strip cutting back at home

Got home mid afternoon and decided to do a little more cutting of strips from that bag of fabric from my mom.   Wonder how long it will take me to get through it....

Pete seemed happy that we are home.

Day 194 - More Camping Yo yo's

Some more yo yo's made in the car as we drove up to Cokato for a big birthday bash and then back to the campground...

Day 193 - Camping Yo Yo's

Headed down to Minneopa State Park and did some yo yo's on the way.

We had a huge rain storm about 11:00 pm.  There was so much wind, rain and continuous thunder and lightening for about one hour.  So much thunder that the ground was shaking from it.  Nice and cozy in our little trailer.

Day 191 - A Drawstring Bag

I had been thinking about this ever since this spring and finally got around to making it tonight as I leave tomorrow after work for a camping weekend.  It will be used to help transport an item from the house to the trailer and store it in the trailer when we camp.  I had this novelty fabric for some time so good to put it to some new use!

Day 192 - Yo Yo's return!

Day 187 - More fabric

I had the day off due to lack of doctors at the clinic and
I spent it with my Mom.  It was absolutely delightful!
She passed on a small bag of fabric that needed someone to go through it and do something with it.
I have begun to dig into it and cut it into 5" blocks.
Here is the pile and the blocks I have cut so far.

Day 186 - Craft Group

Had my monthly craft group tonight.  I worked on my first felt Easter candle mat.  Lois worked on hemming some summer pants.  Verna worked on making some greeting cards and Carol worked on her fall tree book.  It was a good time of sharing with a wonderful new recipe dessert served...Yum.  Thanks Carol.

Day 184 - Two steps backward, one step forward....

Spent 2 hours ripping out the last piece I sewed onto the 42 blocks of the jelly roll quilt.

Had some very relaxed company.

Did some more fine tuning on the shelves: moved some more fabric over to this shelf
and put the gift wrapping supplies on the other shelf.

After.

Here is the second shelf before.

Day 183 - The perfect storm...

Monday.  Car not working.  Burned cookies (again) with the new cookie sheets. Work computer got a virus- a bad one (computer guy coming tomorrow to try and fix.)  Son forgot that we were going out to dinnner to celebrate Father's Day as it was one of the few days that both kids weren't working.  Final straw-
I sewed all 42 blocks wrong tonight.  So begins the ripping out.  Time for bed.

Not a Craft but working on the Studio

Today I began to spend some time trying to reorganize some of the mess in the studio.
I started with one of my 2 free standing shelves...
                                                                               before-

after.  (I gained a cat too)

Remember when the dryer died?  We had to take the shelves down above it to install the new venting system and they have not been replaced yet.  Guess where the cleaning stuff is???
before-

after.

Day 180 - Minimal....

Did a little bit of stitching tonight on the candlemat...long day with extra hours at work and not too motivated tonight.  Watched some of the show "Hoarders" online.  It was the scariest show I have ever seen...

Day 179 - Felt Candle Mat...

So I worked a bit on this candle mat and am not pleased at all with how it looks....:-(

This is the relaxation side of the basement-can't do much yet...

Did clean out the shelves and got rid of some books...

I had two new visitors this morning...

Wonder if they are related...
