Day 330 - Untraditional Crafting

How about working on something on Publisher?  I am no computer wiz and had worked on this project in Word but my daughter said it would work better in Pulisher so she "taught" me to do it in Publisher....Will I remember how to next time??? We shall see.  Certainly not my regular mode of crafting...
From a dear friend for the studio-
Just need to hang things up in here....

Day 329 - Church Quilting

Spent this evening from 6:30- 9:00 helping to lay out and package quilt making kits for missions.  I forgot to take a photo of everyone working because I was taking photos of each quilt as we laid it out.  So here are a couple of photos of the 12 quilts we laid out tonight.

Day 328 - Mounds of Fabric

Yesterday I came home with a huge "bag" of scrap fabric from the cupboards of the church quilters.  I have begun to go through it and cut it into strips or squares-whatever I have enough fabric for...
This is a bunch of strips cut into various lengths.
The colors are lavendar, greens, blues and yellows.
I think this will have to be a strip quilt of its own.

It is sure a mishmash of all kinds of bits and pieces....

Some of the strips that I have cut today from this pile...

Day 327 - Church Quilters

Saturday morning with the church quilters.  We are cutting and sorting and making up packets for members to sew into quilt tops.  Spent from 9 am to 1:15 pm at church working with a small group of dedicated quilters.

Then home out the backdoor...

A chilly day in the great Northern Midwest.
Studio humor....

Day 326 - The Planning Stage

I remembered today I told Michael I would make one more quilt for the T@B trailer.  It would have to somewhat match the Camping Quilt that I made for him to cover the feather bed in the trailer.  So this evening was the beginning of the planning stage- the thought process.  The quilt will be smaller than the first- more of a one person than a queen size.  These are the quilt books that I looked through tonight.
This is the stack of homespun (evenweave) fabrics that I will be working with.

The thought for the day....
